Kinross & District

Where do we meet?

Kinross Inner Wheel is part of Inner Wheel District 1, and we meet at the Kirklands Hotel, 20 High Street Kinross KY13 8AN.  Meetings are held at 2.30pm  on the second Monday of the month.   No formal meetings are held in July & August but coffee mornings, fundraising and social events continue throughout the year.

Our Club

Kinross & District club was chartered in June 1982, so we celebrated our 40th birthday in June 2022.   We currently have 19 members.  As well as the monthly meetings members enjoy coffee mornings, knitting, regular walks and outings as well as fundraising for local and international projects.

Kinross

Kinross is at the centre of a farming community on the shores of Loch Leven. The bird sanctuary on the Loch attracts many visitors as the migrating geese appear in spring and autumn. The trail around the Loch also brings walkers and cyclists in great numbers.

The town has had mixed fortunes in recent years, with the population tending to work further away than was the case, but Inner Wheel tries to foster a strong sense of community by joining in with Rotary projects and local events.

Inner Wheel Day lunch

Summer Activities

A very pleasant afternoon was spent in the home of our new President, Liz Pottie, who entertained members to afternoon tea.  There was much fun and laughter especially when 2 of our newer members organised games – boules, croquet and bean bag throwing. This was then followed by an exercise regime to reduce our excess calories gained from the recently consumed cakes and biscuits!!
