Where do we meet?
Ellon Inner Wheel is part of Inner Wheel District 1, and we meet at the Station Hotel, Station Brae, Ellon AB41 9BD. Meetings are held at 7pm on the third Monday of the month. In November, January & February these will change to lunchtime meetings – 12 noon for 12.30pm. No formal meetings are held in July & August but coffee mornings, fundraising and social events continue throughout the year.

Our Club
Ellon is one of the youngest clubs in our District. Chartered in 1992, it celebrated its 30th Anniversary 2023. We currently have 23 members. As well as the monthly meetings members enjoy regular coffee mornings in members’ homes, knitting, a book group, regular walks and outings as well as fundraising for local and international projects.
The Ellon Club has its own Facebook page so search for ‘Inner Wheel Club of Ellon’
Our town – Ellon
Ellon is a modest country town 15 miles north east of Aberdeen. It was created a burgh of barony in the 13th century when it was the seat of the Earls of Buchan. Situated as it is in the heart of rural northern Aberdeenshire it has long been an agricultural centre with regular markets until relatively recently. With the oil boom of the latter part of the last century Ellon became a dormitory town but it never lost its sense of identity and community. In 2014 the18th century gardens surrounding the ruined 14th century Ardgith castle, right in the centre of Ellon, were gifted to the town and a group of volunteers have created a tranquil oasis for locals and wildlife in this beautiful spot, featuring amongst other things a collection of ancient yew trees which are at least 500 years old.
